Aquisito
Our own product: a food discovery platform for Peru, with native iOS and Android apps, a panel for restaurant owners and one shared backend.

The challenge
Finding where to eat in Peru still happens through word of mouth, scattered social posts and outdated listings. Restaurants, on their side, have few simple ways to keep their menus, hours and promotions up to date in one place. We wanted to build a product of our own for both sides, and to use it to prove the way we work on a real, long-lived codebase.
What we built
Aquisito is a multiplatform product: native iOS and Android apps for diners and a web platform for restaurants and the team that runs it, all on one shared backend.
- For diners: place profiles with menus, opening hours, cuisines and amenities; fast search; collections and favourites; ratings with photos; promotions and coupons; food events with tickets; and food routes with check-ins at each stop.
- A home screen the server controls: the app’s home is assembled from content blocks such as banners, carousels and event cards, so the team can change it without shipping a new app version.
- For restaurants: a partner panel where owners register their business, wait for approval and keep their own information current.
- For operations: an admin panel to curate places, draw service areas on a map and manage content.
- One API for every app: a documented REST API with token authentication that the mobile apps consume.
Results
Aquisito is in active development and the backend, API and partner panel already run at aquisito.pe. It’s also where we try new tools and practices before we bring them to client projects.
